REVIEW

Moon Bayou is the story of Samantha  and her adventure in the life she's stuck. Samantha is a detective plus vampire. She usually lives on the blood of animals. This book is just another vampire story. Samantha has a family and a loving man in her life. But everything changes when she goes to Moon Bayou to save a lost girl. See, here the whole twist arrives which is a pretty terrifying twist. She is thrown back into time by some people during a ritual.
The book is like DIRTY RED! Yeah I love vampire books. Modern vampires and stuff. This book is pretty horrifying but not THAT much. It doesn't have ghosts stuff.
The story is very fast paced, and short. We rapidly learn how Samantha became a vampire and stuff related to her past. Then she goes in search for two lost girls. She was able to save one girl but she she couldn't save the other. While saving the other girl, a strange ritual was going on by the people who had captured the girl, and as she interrupted them between their ritual, they send her back in time. And the story starts getting interesting. The people of the past treat her like she's a queen. Samantha is a very sarcastic character.... Oh and how can I forget the so amazing lies she told the people of the past. Samantha is trying to adapt their life and she doesn't want her reality to get revealed. But it does get revealed.
But then again a murder has occurred and Samantha has to solve it. Samantha is also in the search of someone who can take her back to where she came from. She also meets some vampires whom she knew in her past life and see them so young here. The last pages of the book were not interesting. This book is not highly recommended. Most parts were confusing, but still Samantha was an amazing character. After getting betrayed she still hasnt lost her hope of going back. She is a very strong character, with fighting skills. She reminded me of Beckett from Castle. A sarcastic and strong and amazing and well that's it woman!
Overall, not an amazing book. You will loose interest after reading half the book. The pacing is fast and the ending was so unsatisfying  (It looked like the authors never completed the book)!
Happy Reading! <3
