SYNOPSIS

One night on an annual cruise with her family, Lissie is standing on the deck of her father's fishing boat when she begins to hear a strange murmur across the surface of the ocean. The voice rises and falls with her own, dancing in and out of her hearing, but before she can get a glimpse of the creature it disappears into the depths of the ocean with a shimmery flash.

The next evening throws her family in the midst of a horrific storm. Lissie is swept overboard and all hope is lost until she comes face to face with a dark-haired merman. She is saved, but the cost is her future. The merman transforms her into a mermaid, with the ability to both sprout fins and walk on land; she now finds herself a captive of the dark merman and flees into the night.

When Lissie ends up on a stranded island and meets its sole inhabitant, the handsome and mysterious Patrick, she begins to realize that meeting the dark merman was not a mere twist of fate.

But if it was destined, why is Patrick's past entangled with her future?

And just what does Patrick have to do with the dark merman who haunts her nightmares...

REVIEW

As I am a vampire lover (Because of Twilight), if I see any vampire related book at any bookstore, I just buy it. No cover, no synopsis, I just buy it, but I think this fandom is going to say bye bye very soon. This book Droplets by Meaghan Rauscher is the first book in the droplets series, and it's about mermaids, my new fandom. From first word to the last one Rauscher has written everything awesome. The protagonist is Lissie Darrow, who has been transformed into a mermaid by a hyver, Morven, a real devil guy. And yup, we have a hero too, Patrick. Just read the synopsis, and you'll not be able to control your self!!
This book is written so beautifully plus it's so cinematic. You won't regret it!! This book is just 'unputdownable'.
Let me tell you lil bit about Droplets. I loved the whole book, and what I loved most was the whole plot of the story, like how Lissie was transformed, and the whole romance between Lissie and Patrick. For Morven, I hope he never gets his filthy hands on Lissie. At first, I thought maybe Morven and Lissie would be a couple. But then her life will practically destroy. So i got over this couple, and now it's finaaalllaayyy Lissie and Patrick. Patrick is that guy who would do anything to keep Lissie alive. Enjoy their relationship and cry at their struggle as they try to keep each other alive from Morven.
The revenge that Lissie is planing to take is a huge cliffhanger. The storyline was amazing and the book was so nicely written. Overall, perfect book!! Can't wait to read Ripples, which is going to get released soon!
Happy Reading! <3
