SYNOPSIS

Former witch hunter Elizabeth Grey is hiding within the magically protected village of Harrow, evading the price put on her head by Lord Blackwell, the usurper king of Anglia. Their last encounter left Blackwell ruined, but his thirst for power grows stronger every day. He's readying for a war against those who would resist his rule--namely Elizabeth and the witches, wizards, pirates, and healers she now calls her friends.
Having lost her stigma, a magical source of protection and healing, Elizabeth's strength is tested both physically and emotionally. War always means sacrifice, and as the lines between good and evil blur once more, Elizabeth must decide just how far she'll go to save those she loves.
In this sequel to The Witch Hunter, Virginia Boecker delivers a powerful story full of action, suspense, camaraderie, and romance.

REVIEW

One girl on the run with her beloved.. One total crazy ass, Blackwell. One guy whose total bae but his mind changes in the novel. Fifer, Malcolm and the gang, the hot shot sidekicks. Can this novel get any better? Virginia stop killing us with your writing!
OMG... first talk about suspense. I was hooked from the first page. The suspense, Gosh, Dead! John had a 'Role' in the novel. He changes a lot due to the stigma. But Long Live Elizabeth! Blackwell is the dirty smelling enemy that has to be killed. Elizabeth only knows the way. But.. there are others already planing  behind her back. I liked how John was prominent in the novel, and it was not just girl power. There were other characters who played important roles. And yes! A novel never completes without a painful death! Yes! Someone very dear to me dies! *cries*
I highly recommend this duology to people who love reading magical stories with action here and there.
Happy Reading! <3
