SYNOPSIS

This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.

The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.

That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.

Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime.

But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart.

REVIEW

Another hyped up book! This story revolves around a 17 year old Mare, whose a poor girl with hidden powers. Reds are ruled by the Silvers. Mare gets caught in the palace of the Silvers where her powers gets discovered. The Queen to handle the situation engages Mare with her younger son, Maven. But unfortunately her heart belongs to someone else. Now Mare's target is to ruin the rule of Silvers and in doing so, there will be betrayel, fights, and most of all, hearts will break!
Mare was my most favourite character. She's kick-ass, doesn't give a shit and is beautiful. Maven, OMG I won't describe him here, go read by yourself. Cal, well you know, he's Jacob from Twilight. The writing style was good but not really engulfing. Many elements were amazing but they did not had that 'Wow' factor. You will feel like you have read this kinda story before! But that's just my opinion, I'll still recommend this story to fantasy readers!
Overall, a nice full of action with an annoying love character story! Fantasy readers will enjoy it!
Happy Reading! <3
