SYNOPSIS

Elena Baxter has spent her life desperately wanting to fit in. She’s used to being teased and taunted by the popular girls, but when she celebrates her sweet sixteen birthday and receives two amazing gifts—the power of telekinesis, and the truth about her heritage—she has high hopes that things will change. But her wish does not come true, and Elena is bullied just as she was before, only this time her hurt feelings and frustration boil into something even she cannot understand. When an explosion hits, chaos ensues and she learns that her new power just might be bigger than she is.

She embarks on a journey to a secret island to learn how to control her powers, and she’s thrown into a different world, one where she just might be able to fit in. What Elena learns about her heritage forces her to face her past – and the demons it created – head on.

REVIEW

Elena is living a normal teenager life until on her sixteenth birthday, everything changes. Her grandma informs her that she doesn't belong to earth and that she is an avalonian. Elena visits Avalon and soon settle there and starts her schooling there where she learns basically subjects just like Harry Potter does at Hogwarts.
Elena's life in Avalon is worth drooling over. I needed more world building. I wanted to know more about Avalon and Elena. The good thing in the story is just there's a place called Avalon . I found the story related to Harry Potter. Still, I enjoyed a lot and the writing style was nice. This book is recommended to fantasy readers. It was written well, but the ending will make you feel like the book was written incomplete.
Destiny has an amazing plot that will leave you yearning for more in the end. I really want to read the sequel of this book, because as mentioned the ending was very incomplete.
Happy Reading! <3
