SYNOPSIS

Christine Fjord is on the run. After making her escape from the cult she called her family for three years, nineteen year old Christie is now wanted dead by the girl she’s loved and idolized forever...the cult's cunning and venomous leader, Annabelle Lane. An expert in the art of deception, Annabelle's threats aren't to be taken lightly, and everybody knows that once you're in the cult, you're in it for life. The only way out is death.

Christie's break from Annabelle's clutches leads her to a place she never knew existed, a small town called Manchester, Michigan, and into the arms of a man who is the opposite of everything she's been. Ian Rosenthal is kind, forgiving, and willing to sacrifice everything for Christie's safety. Christie resists Ian's efforts to win her over, despite the strong feelings she has for him. Is falling in love again worth risking her life? Christie knows that nobody crosses Annabelle Lane without paying the ultimate price...

REVIEW

These Starcrossed Lives Of Ours is a stand-alone by Megan Linski. If you are a regular reader of my blog, then you must be familiar with this author, as I have reviewed many books by her! I had really high expectations from this book and after reading it, I was speechless. The plot progressed slowly but with so much suspense. Every character was amazing.
The Starcrossed Lives Of Ours starts with a cliffhanger scene. It starts with a scene like this 'A girl Christine is forced by a murderer Annabelle to kill an innocent girl, Faith or else Annabelle will kill Christine." From the start, I was hooked. Christine's life has been pretty rough and she has been and is still under the care of a dangerous murderer, Annabelle. Christine has had enough, so she runs away from Annabelle's cult, with the help of Landon. But Annabelle's gang badly beat her up when she was escaping, and she was left on the deserted road until Ian finds her.
Christine's character was really intriguing. She becomes so strong after her escape from Annabelle's cult. I really loved her and Ian's characters. Ian never got angry when Christine exploded about her dirty past, and Ian was just speechless and here I was shocked, but this shows that how much Ian is a supportive and understanding guy. Annabelle is the cruelest villain I have ever read yet, as she has no heart! She just loves to kill people, including kids in the most cruelest ways possible. The relationship between Ian and Christine was everything. Ian looked after her so well, and gave her courage when she needed it the most.
Overall, The Starcrossed Lives Of Ours has risen my expectations from this author. I will be surely reading more of this author's books. I really am a big fan of this author now *squeals*. Have you read The Starcrossed Lives Of Ours? What is your opinion about Annabelle? Answer me in the comments!
Happy Reading! <3
