Broken Forest (#1 The Daath Chronicles) by Eliza Tilton

PLOT:
This beautiful tale from the land of Tarrtainya is focused on three main characters Jeslyn, Avikar, and Lucino. One day, Jeslyn with her sister Calli sets off for forest to play. Suddenly three men attack on them. Calli runs away from the men's trance while they kidnap Jeslyn. Calli Informs her parents, her brother Avikar, and Jeslyn's boyfriend Derrick. Avikar and Derrick sets off to save Jeslyn. The men kidnap Jeslyn and take her and another girl (kidnapped) to an unknown place in a carriage. When they reach their destination, she discovers more kidnapped girls. They all together then wash up the carriage. Avikar and Derrick are still searching for Jeslyn when they discover footsteps. They start to follow it. At last they discover the place where Jeslyn is kept hostage.
So they attack the carriage, but unfortunately Jeslyn is taken away while rest of the girls get free. They manage to capture one of the kidnappers, Jericho, who tells him that they have taken Jeslyn to Daath as per ordered by Lord Lucino. Derrick and Avikar gets a shock because they know that there are only twelve lands in Tarrtainya, and the thirteenth one, Daath is just a myth. But somehow Jericho make them believe and take them to Daath. Avikar meets Raven, a beautiful and adventurous girl. They both fall in love. Jeslyn arrives and Lucino uses his charms to attract Jeslyn and she falls in love with him. Jeslyn doesn't know that Lucino is half human and half reptilian.
Lord Lucino proposes Jeslyn, and Jeslyn accepts the propsal due to a fake letter from her parents allowing her to marry Lucino and after Lucino informs her that Derrick and Avikar are dead. Now this is chaos. Avikar and Derrick are struggling to get Jeslyn back while Jeslyn is going to marry Lucino which will result in her death... Let's see what Jeslyn, Avikar, and Lucino's fates hold.

Eliza graduated from Dowling College with a BS in Visual Communications. When she’s not arguing with excel at her day job, or playing Dragon Age 2, again, she's writing. Her YA stories hold a bit of the fantastical and there’s always a hot romance. She resides on Long Island with her husband, two kids and one very snuggly pit bull.

MY OPINION:
I really liked this book. It doesn't bore you. You would wake up the whole night to finish it.. LOL! I didn't do it as I always have a busy schedule. Thank God, I read some 'guy power' because I have read enough 'girl power'. Tilton Thumbs up!!
